Micco, 2012. Cast Cement, steel, air plants, spanish moss, irrigation. Commissioned for the City of Doral, Florida by Codina Partners. “Micco has transformed from a concrete strucre to a living organism.Everything near and around Micco is now part of it and lives in a symbiotic relationship. The whole is only as good as the sum of its parts. Micco provides a shelter for the ferns, Air plants, and other plants that would otherwise not survive the harsh direct sunlight. It is also a home for all the smaller organisms that began to stain the grey surface in beautiful tones and concentrations.” -Micheal Festa, MPA Parks Operations Administrator
